AROUND US
The most valuable thing we have, besides our panoramic view of Rila, is the tranquility around us. Gorna Vasilitsa and the neighboring villages are away from main roads. At the same time, within a short distance from us there are many interesting sites that you can visit.
WALK
Pleasant walks without using a car are those on the hills of Sredna Gora. Several trails start from our place. They are suitable for both walking and mountain biking. Forests and meadows alternate with a wonderful view of the Rila Mountains opposite.
Bigger enthusiasts can find a ford through the forest to the neighboring Pchelinski Mineral Baths.
If you want to go further and use a car, options are Kostenets, Borovets, Dolna Banya, the Trayanov Gate Fortress or Belmeken Dam.
Near us there is a pleasant reservoir for sport fishing with a restaurant and an ostrich farm with its specialties.
MINERAL POOLS
The area around us is rich in mineral springs. You can find swimming pools in the village of Kostenets and the town of Dolna Banya.
FOR CYCLISTS
The surrounding terrain is very suitable for mountain biking enthusiasts. Numerous wild trails encircle the neighboring hills.
Those of you who prefer the road will appreciate the quiet road and nice asphalt.
By prior arrangement, we can provide additional bicycles for your family or friends.
MOUNTAIN PASSES
Lovers of more serious walks have the entire Northeast Rila at their disposal.
The nearest starting trails are 10-15 minutes away by car and lead to the Belmeken and Ibar peaks.
It is possible to start from higher, from Belmeken Dam or Borovets towards Musala Peak and the surrounding areas.
Venetitsa Chalet is 1.30 hours from the Upper part of Dolna Banya.
